Saft America Battery Manufacturing Facility

Jacksonville, Florida

Saft wanted a facility as environmentally sound as their product.

Leading lithium-ion battery developer and manufacturer Saft sought a high-tech manufacturing facility with a low environmental impact. 澳门足彩app combined manufacturing, administrative and support areas into a smart, sustainable structure that produces 4,800,000 cells annually.

We built a powerful, responsible manufacturing facility.

We worked closely with process and subject matter experts to gain a deep understanding of lithium-ion’s unique construction needs. The facility includes a two-story administrative office, clean/dry rooms class 1,000 (ISO Class 6), certified with -40ºC and -27ºC return dew points, coating ovens, formation area (charging) and open circuit voltage testing area, final assembly area, electrical, chillers and air compressor rooms, maintenance and support areas, and shipping and receiving docks.

Effective project planning produces outstanding results.

The Saft plant’s sustainable design elements earned LEED silver certification and feature photovoltaic electricity generation, stormwater management, reduced heat island effect, reduced parking, use of captured rainwater, fundamental refrigerant management and high-efficiency HVAC equipment. Our diligence and commitment to timely delivery provided Saft a highly efficient plant on time and ready to meet process commitments.
